What is a plumeria inflorescence?
An inflorescence is the branching flower cluster that develops from a plumeria growing tip and carries multiple buds and flowers. It is different from an ordinary leafy branch, although branching commonly develops around or after flowering.
Healthy inflorescences can lengthen, open buds over time, and remain on the plant after some flowers finish. A stalled cluster is not automatically diseased; temperature, light, plant maturity, water stress, pests, or a recent move can slow development. Look closely for damaged buds, blackening, insects, or spreading soft tissue before treating. Old spent stalks can be removed carefully when they are fully finished and dry.
