“In the Quiet of Dormancy: An Ode to Plumeria”

In winter’s silent, somber hold,
Stand plumeria trees, so bold.
Bare of leaves, flowers no more,
Awaiting spring’s renewing lore.

Branches reaching to the sky,
A stoic dance, time passing by.
Their beauty sleeps in hidden grace,
In the chill of winter’s embrace.

No vibrant hues or scents to share,
Yet in their quiet, there’s something rare.
A promise held in every bough,
Of life that sleeps, but not bowed.

In this stillness, they stand and wait,
For warmer winds that dictate fate.
For sun’s caress to kiss each limb,
To wake the life that sleeps within.

Silent sentinels in the cold,
Guardians of stories untold.
In their patience, a lesson deep,
Even in rest, beauty they keep.

So let us learn from these trees tall,
In dormancy, there’s beauty in the lull.
For in the quiet, beneath the sky,
They dream of days when they’ll again stand high.
