Valerie Irene Plumeria
Valerie Irene #361 3″ – 4″ blooms. Ombre coloration of medium to pale pink with dark red veins and an orange center. Elliptical petals pointed tip moderately overlapped with upturned edges at the rounded tips. Tendency to fade is average. The veining happens throughout the blooming period but seems to be more pronounced in the hotter, more humid weather. Slow to bloom. Frangipani fragrance.
Average branching habit, semi compact growth habit. Dark green elliptical leaves have red leaf borders and acuminate tips. Below average tendency to set seeds.
Phil Whitehead, named after his daughter. First distributed at Roger Galle’s house (west coast Florida) at a gathering of the Gulfcoast Plumeria Society 2/08. Each plant was numbered.
