To assess soil drainage, conduct a simple drainage test. Dig a hole and fill it with water. If the water takes more than a few hours to drain, the soil lacks proper drainage. To improve drainage, choose raised beds, plant Plumeria in containers with drainage holes, or amend the soil with perlite or sand to enhance its drainage capacity.
