Engel Plumeria
Engel aka Engle, Pudipetala cv Engel. from Kukiat in Thailand, A 3″ White flower narrow petals. Cross between P. stenopetala (mother) and possibly P. pudica and has the best characteristics of both. Great scent, and no rust. Improvement over its parent. It has thicker petals and leaves, but still has a sweet, strong fragrance. The growth habit is upright like Pudica. Her scent is the same as to P. stenopetala, which is a lovely, strong, and sweet perfume. Large bunches. Roots easily and makes a bushy plant. Branches are slender and can break in the wind. Kukiat said the parentage was P. stenopetala X P. pudica. The plant growing in the ground collection clearly shows both parents. Very slender growth that will be badly affected by hurricane winds. Very fast grower, roots in early Spring. Sets seed.
